Comments... Major went into surgery for a large cyst on his back. They were unable to control the bleeding even with transfusions after the cyst was removed and Major passed away.

Comments... I do not know what Cara died from. The night she died, she had eaten her meal and later we went outside to play frisbee, her favorite game. We came in and as I was getting ready for bed she walked through the bathroom and went into the bedroom. I didn't think anything of it. When I came out of the bathroom, I found her lying on the bedroom floor. She was gone. I couldn't believe it! I do not know what caused her death. A year later, I was reading the local newspaper and saw an article in it about Rimadyl. Cara was on this. It had caused death in dogs due to it's effect on the liver. I wonder now if that is what she died from. If anyone knows anything about this I would VERY MUCH appreciate more information about it.

Comments... The first signs where dragging rear paws oddly, slowly progressed and was totally paralzied in the rear within a year. He survived 2 years with our help. He slowly lost bladder and bowel control. He started having a very odd weird smelling diarhea. He passed away at 13 and a half years old in his sleep early one morning. He is buried next to his buddy in our yard. I miss him, he was so gentle, I never had any other health problems with Grizzy. The doctors told me that giving large doses of vitamin E may help slow the progress of his disease.
It's very common in the GSD breed.
His disease was called Chronic Degenerative
Radiculomyelollpathy (CDRM)

Comments... Our beautiful young boy had no health problems before his death, and absolutely no vises. He was a wonderful pet and show dog. Got sick one morning and died within 12 hours of 360 degree mesenteric torsion, at only 15 months of age.

Comments... I purchased this puppy from Vom Waldenhaus Shepherds in April 2003. He was 4 months of age. Regarding his temperament, he was always very nervy and had terrible separation anxiety. He developed allergies to several premium dog foods and never was very interested in food. Then tragedy struck, Nik was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his right hind leg in July 2004, and I had his leg amputated to save his life. Unfortunately the cancer had already spread and he died of lung cancer on Oct. 2, 2004. I repeatedly tried to contact the breeder and I never received any response from her. This is very rare for a young dog to develop Osteosarcoma. He had been seen by two doctors who both agree this disease usually strikes older dogs. Nik was only 22 months old when he died :( This has been very, very upsetting, especially when the breeder refused to return my calls/emails.

Comments... Wyatt received a DOCA shot ever 28 days for his Addisons Disease. He remained stable and in good health for 3 years after being diagnosed with Addisons Disease, however it finally got the better of him. He "crashed" one day and no one was home to aid him.
