Comments... When finally diagnosed with D.M. in mid-November of 2005 Trapper was put on Simplicef 200mg. once a day. When that didn't work was switched to Previcox. He was on this medication for about a week when he had the stroke and lost mobility in front right leg. Carried my partner to vets that same day Vet. said he had suffered a stroke they kept my best friend overnight to try steroids but next day in my arms Trapper was put to sleep I will never forget that awful day and will never forget my Best friend. I know he's in Gods hands now and someday we will be together again.

Comments... If you have the opportunity, please ask your vet to come to the house to euthanise. It is much more humane.

This is a very sad and delbilitating disease. We need to find a cause.

Comments... I got Buffy at 10 years old. Her previous was a chain smoker, and it is believed that this led to the cancer in her left lung. She had an extruded tumor with a jagged formation that lacerated her aorta, causing massive hemmorage.

Comments... I have lost one of the most precious girls that ever lived.

Ms. Libby was so special to me and my husband. She was our silly, smiling, valley girl. I will always see her bright eyes, her smile, and her wonderful, warm attitude, even if it is only in my dreams. I will never fill the void that she has left, or repair the hole in my heart, where her pawprints are forever burned. I loved this girl more than life itself, and she is gone.

No animal should ever be made to endure what this precious angel suffered her entire life.

If the breeding that produced this girl was meant as an experiment to see what would be produced, or if it were because of her lineage, or even if it was for monetary gain, it was indeed a tragic and sick failure. I can only hope that the foolish, carefree attitude, that lead to this girl being whelped will never be repeated.

I loved and cared for this girl for 8 years, 3 years longer than the best vets in the southeast said I would have her. She was, by their most learned opinions, only to live for 5 years, at the very best. But, when she couldn't stand, I helped her stand. When she couldn't walk, I carried her. And when she cried in pain, I cried also. I never gave up on her. I asked her for MORE and my girl always gave me MORE.

She rests in peace now, free from the horrible pain she lived with every day. Despite every drug known to veterinary medicine, I could no longer ease her pain, so I sent my beautiful silly, valley girl to The Rainbow Bridge, to wait for me there.

I will miss my girl for the rest of my life, but in the end, we will be together. That is my only comfort. It is my promise to my girl, and God's promise to me.

Comments... I lost my best friend in the world. I felt helpless watching him suffer and drag his back legs. I brought him to a specialist and he was walking for about a month .. then it all went down hill again. I still feel there could have been more to do for him .. but we were both wearing ourselves down. I'm still hurting .. and looking for answers.
