Comments: My 9 year old Boxer, Maggie, has DM and it is heartbreaking. Jack Flash was very lucky to have you. My decision comes closer everyday. I hope that I am able to let her go when her time comes. Thanks for your site.

Comments: I am a bit miffed that I took the time to fill out this lenthy form, only to find out the results were not submitted because it said I need to fill out the name and email address fields when both were already filled out accurately. I have a 12 YO GSD with a DM diagnosis. The main thing that I discovered that the melatonin I give him for thunderstorm phobia improved his bowel incompetence, so I continued to dose him nightly and have been amazed with his symptom improvement. He is very much improved in his muscle strength and coordination, his nocturnal/early morning bowel incontinence has improved, and he appears to be more alert. He gets a 10mg capsule NOCT along with an IM injection of 3mL of fortified vitamin B-complex QWK. He also gets 2.5mL of Chondroprotec PRN for arthritis, usually every 6 weeks or so. I am concerned that a lot of symptoms of DM are mimicked by MDR1 drug toxicity symptoms. I would suggest adding an MDR1 test to the DM testing if the individual is on any known medication that shows MDR1 intolerance.

Comments: Many thanks for the information on your site, My GSD is struggling with DM at the moment, she was given two weeks to live some 15 months ago, she has been so so brave but looking at her this evening is breaking our hearts.

Comments: I found Izzy at the Somerset Regional in Bridgewater NJ Sept 2004...he was 85 lbs and tall...very tall and skinny. He is an amazing dog with lots of personality. The perfect companion. Now he is suffering with DM at 9 years of age...or approximately 9. His Vet told me to get him a wheelchair and keep him comfortable. The cost of a wheelchair is $400 and I can not afford it. His Vet bills have been more then I can handle. So what I was hoping for is a donation of a wheelchair for his remaining year(s).
Is there anyone who has one they would like to donate to my buddy Izzy? I would in turn donate when its his time to go to the Rainbow Bridge.
Thx
